New Line!

I have replaced one of my best-selling silver jewelry tags with a new product!  This time it's pewter (still silver in color), but it creates a deeper, more beautiful impression when personalizing it with your initials or message! Without any ado, here is the new jewelry tag!

Also, I have set out to create a new jewelry line of design stamped necklaces and earrings!  I presented the first pair of earrings on Instagram, and they were snatched up even before they made it to my etsy shop!  So I'm hoping the next in the line of filigree-stamped jewelry will go over equally well.  Here are the pics.

If you'd like to be the first to know about new items even before they hit my shop, the fastest way is by following me on Instagram.  You can find me under the name TerahsClassicCreations.

I hope to see you there!  As always, have fun!

New Options in Personalized Gifts!

Make your personalized gifts even better!  Now you can add these designs as an accent, or even as a central theme to the wording on custom designed pendants and jewelry tags!

This one has been a long time in coming!  But now they are all laid out for you to see easily!  You can compare their sizes in relation to one another.  Also, I have numbered them for easy reference.  I am working on updating most of the personalize-able items in my shop to include them so now you can have your hand-stamped, personalized jewelry include some cute designs as well.  (But you can still opt for a more basic design if you'd like - your wish is my command!)

Another new option is what I like to call my Whimsical Numbers!  I have them stamped on this cute little guitar pick pendant.  It's great for those who love music!  And you'd like to commemorate a special date, it would make the perfect gift!  I think it looks even better with the new numbers!

Also, for all you knitters out there, in addition to the knit stitch markers that I already offer in my shop, I have added another new original knitting pattern too!  Introducing the new Jaden Fingerless Mitts pattern featuring Yarn Bee, Urban Chic yarn from Hobby Lobby!  It's a super easy pattern that's great for a partial ball of yarn.  That's actually how it got started!  I had made a water bottle holder for my  niece, and had yarn left over.  So I made these mitts and still have some left over.  I bet you could actually get a couple of pairs of mitts out of one ball of yarn!  Talk about a stash buster!  So here's the preview of these cute, sporty little numbers, that are great for guys or girls!

The great part about these mitts is that they are relatively quick, and the yarn makes a faux-fair-isle knitting pattern.  Since it's the yarn that makes the patterning, you can expect your mitts to be a little different from one another, as you can see from the differences in the pictures.  I think that makes them even more fun!  But if you want them to match a little better, you can start the main hand section using the blue/green section of the ball, and wind up the patterning portions of the yarn, i.e., the orange and white/yellow and white, and reserve it for working on the cuff later, which is how this mitt is worked anyway!  Easy peasy!

If you would like to get this pattern right away, you can get it as an instant download here.

If you have any questions or comments, you can contact me through my shop, on Instagram:  TerahsClassicCreations, Facebook.com/TerahsClassicCreationsStudio, or comment on this blog!

Have fun!

Fully Stocked and Ready To Go!

As many of you probably know, my husband and I have been traveling in Asia for a little over a year now, and we are temporarily back in the USA.  It has been an adventure!  We plan to return soon, but during the limited time we are here I have restocked my shop to include all of my hand-crafted, artisan jewelry, tutorials, and hand stamped pendants and tags.

But you may ask, why is this good for me?  ðŸ¤”  Well, it means that I will soon be clearancing out most of my beadwoven and wirewoven jewelry. (Because its just not practical to tote all that stock around Asia with me.  ðŸ™„). That means that items like these will be going for more than 50% off! 😊

If you're not a bracelet fan, don't worry!  I have plenty of earrings and necklaces too that will be on sale. Don't forget that almost all of my jewelry is personalize-able. Just choose which of my jewelry tags you'd like to add along with what letters you'd like stamped on them, and voila!  You have a great personalized gift good for graduations, anniversaries, weddings, etc!

So be on the watch!  Visit my shop while the sale lasts to get a personalized, one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted, piece of jewelry at their lowest prices ever!  When these one of a kind items are gone, they're gone!

Have fun shopping, and I hope to hear from you soon!

New Inspiration for Buttons

So I've been here in Taiwan for about a year now.  In that time my husband and I have been able to experience many interesting things. But sometimes it's nice to have something familiar to do to keep me grounded-like my crafts. Recently a friend from back home in the U.S. Asked me if I could make some crocheted accessories for her.  I'm definitely more used to knitting than crochet, but I jumped at the challenge. It was so much fun!

I had already made some hand stamped copper buttons that said "cute as a button" on them.  That's something that I could SO completely see my grandma saying, so I couldn't help myself!  (Incidentally, it's also the same grandma that caught me to crochet when I was young.)  So I thought hmmmm.....I wonder if that button would make a good center for a crocheted flower. Here are some of the results....

I know there are so many creative people out there who just like seeing others finished works (I know because I'm one of them). So even though these arm and leg warmers don't include my hand-stamped buttons, I thought I would show them to you too.

So if you are a creative person yourself and you'd like to find a way to add some extra flair to your projects by adding a phrase or a name to them, just think how cute a personalized button could be! (You can find a slightly larger version of this button here.)

Also, if you would like me to knit or crochet something for you, you can contact me through my shop! ( I don't currently have anything knitted or crocheted in my shop, so you may be surprised that I also offer this.)  I like to think of it kind of like a secret menu similar to the secret menu at In-N-Out Burger.  So I hope to hear from you soon!

P.S.  I love to showcase how others have used my hand stamped buttons, jewelry tags, and pendants in their own creations.  I generally share it on my facebook page.  So feel free to visit, like, and share!

New Photo Shoot

Sometimes it's fun to re-shoot pictures for things I already have in my shop.  This morning I was looking through my shop and realized that some pictures REALLY needed to be re-vamped.  So I had an impromptu photo-shoot!

Here's some of the old pictures:

This is one of the old ones I kind of like because you can see the patterning of the lace, and the pink adds a happy feel, but I really don't like how the background at the top left looks bluish-green.

This one I really liked too, except for the fact that once you look really close, it just seems a little out of focus.

Here are the new ones:
I actually love the contrast between the bright sunlight
and the slight fading around the edges here.  It seems
to set a mood.

More fading around the edges.

I like that you can see the patterning and the end  of the lace clearly

Another with a more loose and flowing look

I love the glow again from the sun!  I guess I'm
a California girl through and through!

With this new batch I was having fun with the "Vignette" setting on my photo-editing software which adds a little softness around the edges.

Which ones do you like best and why?  I'd love to know!

The New Blue!

Well, my knitting craze has continued into the warmer seasons, thus producing some fun warm-weather accessories!  I found this wonderful cotton tape yarn at my local yarn store, and immediately was inspired!  It has such beautiful saturated colors!

The day I found it was one of our first hot days, so the cool-to-the-touch feel really drew me in.  And because of the yarn's construction, it knits up into a vibrant, soft, accessory that has a beautiful drape!

I made one cowl, and loved it so much that I kept it for myself.  Since then I've created more for others, and even decided to create it again in another color.  The first one is this chartreuse, blue and violet colorway.

The second time I made it in blues and purples!  Each of them has a different look just because of the color differences, but I love them equally!  This one has more of a beach feel to it I think.

You can see how they can go either with casual or dressy clothes too!  When an accessory is this versatile, what's not to love, right?

Here's an in-the-process photo just for fun:

But that's not all that's new.  I've added this personalize-able necklace to my shop too:

Have fun!

Knitting Season!

With cooler weather coming the knitting bug has hit again.  I've mostly been knitting gifts, but it has led to another great development that I think knitters will love!  Personalized stitch markers!  There's a whole new section in my shop to showcase them.  I hand-stamp them myself, so you can get them completely personalized with your own messages on them!  Great for yourself or someone else!

Here are some examples of how I used mine:

Here I'm following a particularly tricky lace pattern (with patterning on both sides).  So I decided that in addition to using a sticky note to mark my spot on the pattern, I needed to use the stitch markers to indicate which row I have completed.  That way, if my sticky note blows off (which it has definitely done), I can still figure out what row of the pattern repeat I'm on.  It's pretty helpful.

Here I'm using my solid-brass, row-counter stitch markers in multiples of five.  But if you'd like other multiples, like twos, that's not a problem!

This is the set as it looks in my shop.  If you'd like your own, just click on the picture above.  If you'd like something completely custom, i.e., different numbers, more stitch markers in a set, etc.  Just contact me through my shop - I'm happy to talk to you!

Here are some other stitch marker sets I have available too.  These are great because I customize them with your wording in addition to what's shown here:

AND since I've been in the knitting mood lately I'm also having a special SALE on all my hand-knits!  Get 30% off one-of-a-kind, hand-knit accessories only through September 20th!  You don't even need a coupon code, the discount is automatic!

SO HAVE FUN!

P.S.  If you'd like to receive these messages via e-mail (that is if you aren't already), you can join my mailing list here:  http://eepurl.com/PNYE9.  Don't worry - I promise not to bug you too much :-).

Inspired by People

Inspiration can come from inanimate objects like fashion, or even plants and nature, but the most fun inspiration comes from people!  A friend of mine recently asked me to make her a pair of earrings to match a dress she just bought (So I guess the inspiration did partly come from fashion).  I LOVE it when friends give me a chance to make something especially for them!  She allowed me creative Carte Blanche, which was amazing!

Here is a swatch of the fabric patterning at the bottom of the dress:

I loved the gold embroidered curving lines with the reddish pink sunburst in the center!  Very Bollywood! So I immediately thought of using a Swarovski Crystal rivoli in the center that would slightly hint at the red and blue colors.  I then used brass to create the swirls to mimic the curves of the gold in the fabric.

There were only two stipulations I had to follow when making earrings to match:  1.  Not too fancy.  2.  Not too long.

After beadweaving the Swarovsky Crystal in  silvery white beads (to mirror the small silvery sequins on the fabric) and hot pink hex beads (to pick up more of the main color), and many tiny wraps of brass, and a little hammering for strength and aesthetics, this is what I came up with:

After it was all said and done, I added a little darkening to the wire wraps to enhance the details of these earrings.  These earrings are a good example of what I aim to make more of in the future - pieces that incorporate bead-weaving and wire-work. They were so much fun to make - especially because I knew they'd have a good home in the end!  People truly are the best inspiration!

I'm thinking of making more earrings like this very soon for my shop!   So if you'd like something like this for yourself, stop by my shop.  If you don't already see something there you just have to have, drop me a line, and I can make a custom piece just for you!

P.S.  AND, you could even have a little brass tag with your initials stamped on it - for even further personalization!  Wouldn't that be unique and fun!

Sincerely,

Terah

More New Developments

My little shop started with mostly beadwoven jewelry, bags, etc.  But who doesn't love a little variety?!!! I've now expanded what I create, mostly because I love learning new and exciting techniques, and seeing how I can integrate them if possible to make the most fun, and unique accessories!

So now it seems I have five different types of products available.

1.  Beadwoven items (Jewelry, purses, and home decor)

2.  Beading tutorials.

3.  Wire-wrapped Jewelry, i.e., my viking knits (so much fun)!!!

4.  Hand-knit accessories.

and the new one. . . .(drumroll)

5.  Hand-stamped jewelry and charms!!

This is what I'm really excited about right now.  It all started when I wanted to make my own jewelry tags, and of course I didn't want to be tied down to any one style (I wanted each tag to fit the overall look of the piece I was working on).

So I learned metal stamping.  That is how I can offer you a wide variety of personalized tags to add to  my jewelry with your own initials - or a friend's initials - if it's a gift!

Recently I have been playing with stamping a little more, and I now am starting to offer hand-stamped jewelry itself. It can all be found here:  https://www.etsy.com/shop/TerahClassyCreations?section_id=12143506&ref=shopsection_leftnav_9

So depending on how the creative bug hits me, my new items could be beadwoven, wire-wrapped, knit, hand-stamped, tutorials, or a mixture thereof!  SO MUCH FUN!

So if you noticed from some of my pictures, I'm also running a Spring Sale good only through May 2.  EVERYTHING at TerahClassyCreations.etsy.com is 20% off!!  So my fun can be your fun too!!!

Enjoy!
